Total books went slightly up in 2017, but slightly down by page average, leaving me at 42,977 total pages for the year, compared to 43,306 in 2016. I might have watched less visual media last year than the year before, but I really didn't read much less. I seem to have reached an equilibrium there the last few years. :)
In other stats: 12/104 were non-fiction this time, the most since I started tracking; 26 were re-reads; and 8 were graphic novels.
To continue last year's additional analysis, 83/104 were identified as part of a series or creative universe of some kind (such as Star Wars). And in terms of genre: 48 were science fiction; 29 were fantasy of some variety (epic, urban, etc.); 8 were mystery or thrillers or drama, mostly in a historical setting; and 6 were romance, again mostly in a historical setting. 13 would count as 'young adult'.
So, on to Year Twelve of book tracking!
Book stats through 108 include 27 rereads, 10 nonfiction and 10 graphic novels.

Date: 2019-01-08 12:43 am (UTC)I got Bruce Campbell's autograph at a convention once, and have heard him speak a few times - he lives in my state. I may or may not have watched quite a few ridiculous things that have him in it, because of that; he's a very entertaining person, and his bio made a lot of fun to read the week I was down sick last year. I'm currently waiting for the price on the ten-years-later follow-up to come down so I can buy and read it, too. :)
