*grin* Thank you for commenting; I'm glad you enjoyed this. Who better to borrow from than canon, when attempting to sketch in the background of an alternate universe? I always found Gary Mitchell kind of fascinating, and wondered if the death of his former best friend sped along his forming best friendship with Spock at all.
