Second the Big Bad Boyfriend comment above-- but only because you've written it so Buffy is *aware* of how very badly she handled how other people dealt with the guys she recruited as allies in the past. Narrative excuses or Slayer instincts or what-have-you, she sometimes rode roughshod over those who had legit grievances against Angel/us and Spike. The O'Connells aren't Buffy's best friends already, or family, so they're not going to accept her past excuses, so it's good this got cleared up and established already.

I like how the past memories are messing with her, but not *too* badly, too. This is going to be fun!
